Paint Correction Experts in Pflugerville, TX

Remove the paint imperfections to bring out the gloss and clarity

Less Swirls and More Gloss

Notice swirls, fine scratches, or water spots on your vehicle’s paint? At A&M Detailing Solutions, our paint correction services remove those imperfections to give your car a glossy shine that looks fresh off the lot.

Paint correction is the process that removes imperfections from your paint like micro-scratches, oxidation, water spots, and haze. Over time, your paint gets exposed to sun, rain, poor washing habits, and environmental fallout that leaves your paint looking dull or even damaged. That’s where we come in. Our thorough correction process uses machine polishing to refine those imperfections to transform your paint.

We don’t just slap on filler wax or glaze to hide imperfections. Our focus is true correction using pro-grade tools, pads, and compounds. We restore your paint with proper methods that don’t damage your clear coat.

Want even more gloss and long-term protection? Pair paint correction with ceramic coating to enhance shine and defend your paint against the elements for years to come.

The A&M Detailing Paint Correction Process

Paint correction is not something you can rush through for a quick job. We focus on doing it the right way the first time. Here’s what our process looks like:

Step 1: Prep the exterior

Before we get to polishing, we start with a full exterior wash and prep. This includes cleaning your wheels and tires, hand washing the exterior, and eliminating grime with a clay bar and iron remover. These steps ensure the surface is smooth, free of embedded contaminants, and ready for correction.

Step 2: Paint Assessment and Test Spot

Next, we inspect your paint under specialized lighting and use a paint depth gauge to measure clear coat thickness. From there, we run a few test spots to determine the safest and most effective pad and compound combo for your vehicle’s paint type. We want to go with the least-aggressive option that gets the results we want.

Step 3: Defect Removal with Paint Correction

Now comes the transformation. We use a multitude of polishers and methods to remove swirl marks, water spots, oxidation, and light scratches. Whether your car needs a light gloss enhancement or a multi-step correction, we tailor everything to your vehicle’s condition and your expectations.

Step 4: Protecting the Finish

Once the correction is complete, we lock in the results. Depending on your choice, we’ll apply either a premium sealant (for around six months of protection) or a ceramic coating (which can last for years). Either way, your paint will have a deep, wet, and glossy look to it.

Step 5: Final Detail Touches

To wrap up the job, we finish with the details by dressing the tires, cleaning the glass, wiping down door jambs, and tidying up trim. Your vehicle rolls out looking polished from every angle.

No matter the car or condition, we have an option for your vehicle. Whether it’s your daily driver or your weekend showpiece, we bring out the very best in your vehicle’s finish.

Types of Paint Correction Services

Not every vehicle needs an ultra-aggressive correction process. That’s why we offer different levels based on your goals:

All-in-One Polish

A light polish that removes up to 20% of fine imperfections while boosting gloss. Great for newer or well-kept vehicles needing a refresh. If you’re looking for heavy defeat removal, the other options are better suited for that.

One-Step Polish

This level removes around 50% to 60% of defects. This is where you start to see a massive difference if your paint is heavily swirled. Ideal for daily drivers and weekend cars.

Two-Step Correction

Our most advanced option, this eliminates 70% to 90% of the imperfections. Perfect for older paint or heavily swirled finishes. This is where you’ll see the biggest difference in the paintwork.

Paint Correction FAQs

Does paint correction remove deep scratches?

If the scratch hasn’t gone through the clear coat, we can usually remove or greatly reduce it. If it’s deeper, touch-up or repainting might be needed. We can evaluate that on the spot.

How long does paint correction take?

Anywhere from a couple of hours to 2 days to complete. This depends on the level of correction and your vehicle’s condition. We’ll give you a clear timeline before starting.

Will swirl marks come back after correction?

In order to keep the quality results you’ll have to keep up with the maintenance side of it. If you use quality wash mitts with proper washing and drying methods, your car will stay glossy for a long time. If you use bath towels to dry your vehicle and low-quality wash soaps, it’s going to be easier to add swirls back into the paint.
